Teaser Tuesday and a Cover Reveal for BREAK ME DOWN!

It's Tuesday again and time for a teaser. And I've got a cover reveal to go along with it!

I'm still writing this one so things may change, but for those of you who don't know, this is the story of Gibson (Kade's brother) and Sam (Tessa's BFF)--both were introduced in Need You Tonight.

So here's a snippet and the cover reveal! AND it's up for pre-order on Kindle and Nook for $2.99 if you want to make sure you don't miss it. Remember with pre-order, you're always guaranteed the best price.

Snippet from BREAK ME DOWN, coming October 2015!

But before she could complete the breath, a booming knock rocketed through the farmhouse, rattling the door and and sending a scream right up her throat. Darcy barked from upstairs. Sam clamped her hands over her mouth just in time to cut it off. But she scrambled to her feet and turned toward the front doorway like the Big Bad Wolf was about to bust through.

Whoever this was, it couldn’t be good. It was too early and this house was too far out for it to be someone selling something. She needed to get to the bedroom and get the gun she kept in there. But the windows in the living room had thin curtains and she’d have to cross that room to get to the stairs. What if whoever it was saw her?

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Her hands shook. There were knives in the kitchen. That’d be something. She took a step that way when the banging came again, each knock like a jolt of electric anxiety through her.

But just as she almost made it to the doorway to the kitchen, a familiar voice echoed through the house. “Sam, it’s Gib. I know you’re here. Open up.”

Every tight muscle in her body sagged in relief. Gibson. It was Gibson. Not an ax murderer in a hockey mask. Okay. Okay.

But then as soon as that thought settled—I’m safe. Another one hit. It was Gibson

She had no idea how he’d found her, but she’d told him to leave her alone when she’d left The Ranch. And she was a fucking mess right now. If she’d wanted his help, she would’ve asked him for it. That sent a rush of righteous indignation right up her spine, anger hot on its heels.

Part of her was tempted to just ignore his pushy ass. Pretend she wasn’t here. But knowing him, he’d break the frigging door down. So instead, she gathered up that anger into a nice, spinning ball in her gut and stalked toward the door.

He banged on it again before she could reach it, so when she swung the door open, his fist was still hovering in the air. He blinked as if surprised she’d actually appeared, and then blatant relief descended over his features. “Thank fuck.”

Her jaw clenched, and she had to force it to relax to speak. “What the hell?”

His gaze skated over her, a deep line appearing between his brows. “Shit, Sam, you look…baby.”

She had a good idea what she looked like. She was sweaty, covered with wood dust, and between the slap earlier and all the crying, her face probably looked like she’d been hit with a wet bag of rocks. Goddammit. This was the last thing she needed Gibson to see. And the fact that he’d forced her into letting him see her like this pissed her off even more. “Don’t you dare call my baby or look at me like that. You’re not supposed to be here. I didn’t invite you.”

His blue eyes flicked upward, rigid determination there. “You don’t need to be alone right now. And you damn well shouldn’t be alone out here in the middle of nowhere.” He swung a hand toward the door. “A stiff wind would knock this thing down. What are you thinking?”

Well, that just punched all her bitch buttons. “Thanks for stopping by. It’s been fun. I’m alive and fine. You can go home now. Buh-bye.”

She moved to shut the door, but his hand flew out to block it from closing.  “Oh, no you don’t. You can be pissed at me all you want. But if you think I’m leaving you out here like this, let me alleviate you of that notion. Not gonna happen, sunshine.”

Her grip on the door tightened. “What? You gonna drag me out kicking and screaming, Gib? I’ll fucking fight you.”

A muscle in his jaw ticked and he took a step forward. “You know I’m not going to put my hands on you like that. But you either come willingly or you’re going to be staring at my ugly mug until you do.”

Ugly mug was about as far from the truth as possible. Even with dark shadows under his eyes, his hair disheveled from raking fingers, and a wrinkled shirt, he looked like he’d just fallen off the stage of some hot man revue. But she was too ticked off to care about how hot he was. Mostly.

“Leave, Gib.”

“Not unless you come with me.” He ducked under the arm she had braced on the door and strode inside.

“Oh my God.” She spun around, the door swinging shut on its own behind her. “Boundaries, dude. Ever heard of the word?”

“Yep. Can spell it and everything.” Gib crossed his arms over his chest and smiled.

Who's looking forward to Gib and Sam? And what do you think of the cover? I love that blue.

Teaser Tuesday: YOURS ALL ALONG

Less than a month away before Devon and Hunter are here!

Here's a little snippet from YOURS ALL ALONG:

Devon turned onto the mostly deserted city streets and headed toward the on ramp for the highway. Music played low in the background, but Hunter couldn’t focus on anything besides the fact that he was in Dallas in a car with Devon after all this time. How many times had they ridden just like this, laughing about things, giving each other shit, or singing along to the radio? An old ache opened up in his chest—one where friendship and comfort and other warm things used to reside. He rubbed the spot with the heel of his hand.

Devon peered over, expression shuttered. “So, you going to tell me why you’re here?”

“I told you. My fiancée sent me out here to take a vacation.”

“Not why you’re in Dallas, Hunt, why you were in my bar.”

A thousand answers jumped to his lips. Because I needed to see you. Because I’ve missed you. Because I couldn’t not. “I need a best man for my wedding, and Macy thought you’d be a good choice.”

A bitter laugh burst out of Devon at that. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”

Hunter turned away, staring out the windows as the car picked up speed and merged onto the highway. He imagined the vehicles whizzing by crashing into each other and piling up. He still had nightmares that looked like that.

“You’re serious? The girl you’re marrying wanted you to come find me to be your best man?”

He swallowed past the tightness in his throat. “She heard we were close.”

“That’s one way of putting it,” Devon muttered.

“She doesn’t know that stuff.” He shifted in his seat. “No one does.”

“I’m surprised you’re even admitting there was stuff. I figured all of that would’ve been obliterated in that convenient memory loss the accident caused.”

Memory loss? Hunter wished. “I didn’t forget.”

Dev’s jaw twitched. “So you’re telling me you came all the way out here after four years of not speaking to me to ask me to be in your wedding? That’s bullshit. And if it’s not bullshit, then you’re an even bigger asshole than I thought.”

“I don’t want you to be in my goddamned wedding. I just—I was here. I thought I’d come to see you.” He hated the way his voice sounded—seeking, defensive.

Devon’s fingers flexed on the steering wheel, restrained anger evident in each curl of his hand. “Is this like the AA thing where you go say sorry to everyone you pissed off before you move forward? Tie up everything in neat bows before you walk down the aisle and into happily every after?”

“What? No.” He took off his cap and raked a hand through his hair.

“Or maybe you just need one more time with a guy before the big day just to make sure any of those rogue gay urges are fully out of your system.”

He stiffened at the stinging tone and suggestion. “No, I—fuck, never mind.” He slouched in his too small seat, pulling his hat low over his eyes, and glared out the window. “Just get me to the resort. I shouldn’t have shown up tonight. This was a mistake.”

“Heh.” Devon sniffed. “You seem to make those a lot around me. Guess some things haven’t changed.”

Hunter leaned his head back against the seat and closed his eyes, remembering the last time he’d uttered that same phrase. No, some things hadn’t changed.

Everything had. All in one night.

And nothing had been the same since.

EXCERPT

Andre and Jace exchanged a look, then Jace pointed to the spot in front of the fireplace. “Naked. Now.”

She rubbed her lips together, silently celebrating her victory. “Yes, sir.”

While she undressed, Jace and Andre left the room, presumably to get whatever equipment they needed and to plan. She laid her clothes over the back of one of the armchairs and hurried to get next to the fire. The cabin was warm but the sudden loss of her sweater and jeans raised goose bumps on her skin. She knelt on the pillow and sighed with contentment as the heat from fire washed over her from behind. She’d felt so ill earlier on the plane, but now her body seemed to be cooperating with her again. After all the stress of the week, she couldn’t pick any better place to be than right here waiting for her two guys to do their dirty best to her.

And being tucked away in a cabin in the middle of all that sparkling snow heightened that feeling of being cocooned in their own world. Here they didn’t have to worry about anyone judging or giving them the side eye. Even at The Ranch some of the other subs gave her looks because she’d taken two sought-after doms off the market. She couldn’t help but feel those What’s so special about her? accusations drifting her way. But when she was with just the two of them, the whole world fell away, and no one could tell her what they had wasn’t right or good or beautiful. She so needed this right now.

She sat back on her calves and closed her eyes, letting herself slide into that quiet space submission could give her, where all she focused on was what they wanted from her. There she could retreat and tuck any lingering worries or issues into a box for a while and live in the moment, feel the experience. Her version of meditation.

They left her in the silence for a while, and she didn’t hear them when they returned because she’d settled so deeply into the calm. But she caught the scent of Jace’s cologne mixing in with the hickory smell of the fire and opened her eyes.

Jace and Andre were standing a few feet in front of her, arms crossed, looming. Jace smiled and stepped forward to take her chin in his hand. He tilted her face up and ran his thumb over her lips. “Look how gorgeous our girl is, Andre. We haven’t even touched her yet and she’s already looking at us with surrender eyes.”

“We picked a good one to kidnap.”

Her attention slid to Andre. If they were going to go with the kidnapping theme, she’d play the role to her fullest. “You said if I did what you told me, you’d let me go.”

Andre’s lips lifted at the corner. “Indeed, we did. Smart girl. Obeying will get you what you want.”

“Not that you have much choice anyway,” Jace added, his green eyes flickering orange in the firelight, making his expression look even more sinister. “There’s no one around for miles. And that snow is pretty heavy. You wouldn’t get far if you tried to run.”

“Y’all must be pretty desperate to get laid if you have to steal a woman to get someone in your bed.” She sent Jace a petulant look. “What’s wrong with you? Bad in the sack?”

He huffed a quiet laugh. Normally, she wasn’t one to be a bratty sub. But tonight she was down for a little game-playing. She wanted to lose herself in this. And Jace seemed pleased that she was getting into the role.

“Now that’s not a very nice thing to say,” Jace replied, his expression cooling from humored to that intimidating dominance. He grabbed her hair, wrapping the locks around his fist, and tugged. “Get up.”

She climbed to her feet, and Jace led her by the hair toward Andre. Some silent exchange passed between the two men, and Andre sat on the couch in front of her. His dark eyes tracked down her naked form with lewd interest, making her shiver. Evan loved how they could make her feel so cherished and precious day to day, but also how they could switch off that softness when they all craved a walk on the shadier side of the street. Andre, who could be as gentle and loving as any man she’d ever met, was staring at her like she was simply an object to slake his lust.

It so totally worked for her. Especially when he tugged off his shirt, revealing all that honed muscle and tawny skin, and those nipple rings she loved so much. He leaned back like a king awaiting his servant, spreading his arms across the back of the couch in an impressive wingspan.

“Dre, let’s show her what happens to captives who talk back.”

A Wee Sneak Peek of FOREVER STARTS TONIGHT

Want a little peek into FOREVER STARTS TONIGHT? This novella is about Jace, Evan, and Andre, but I thought I'd give you a little glimpse of the cameo Grant and Charli make since it's been a while since they've popped up.

Releasing this September

From FOREVER STARTS TONIGHT (All Rights Reserved - Berkley Publishing):

Jace shielded his eyes from the sun as he crossed the open fields on the edge of The Ranch, looking for the horse paddock. He wasn’t overly familiar with this part of the property. Most of what he needed here was either at the main house or in the cabin he, Andre, and Evan often rented out. But ahead he could see the stables and the cowboy he was looking for.

Jace headed over that way and heard Grant Waters, owner and operator of The Ranch, explaining the ins and outs of saddling a horse to his girlfriend, Charli, who was standing there, hands on her hips and frustrated expression on her face. Jace smiled. That seemed to be Charli’s go-to expression when it came to Grant. Jace had seen the two scene together at the main house before, so he knew Charli was a fantastic submissive to Grant, and the love between them was obvious. But when not in those roles, she was a no-nonsense, highly opinionated tomboy who kept the big man on his toes.

The whole thing amused Jace to no end because Grant could be such a stoic, all-knowing bastard sometimes, and it was fun to see the guy get flustered or perplexed by his woman. It reiterated Jace’s belief that no man could keep it together all the time when he was in love. It was nice to know even the master of The Ranch wasn’t immune.

“Howdy, partners!” Jace called out, making his accent as countrified as possible.

Grant turned around and tipped his black cowboy hat up. “Well, look what the barn cat dragged in. Coming to the muck out the stalls, Austin?”

Jace sniffed. “I’m not even sure I know what mucking stalls means, but I think I’ll pass on anything with the word muck involved.”

“Smart man,” Charli said, giving the pretty brown mare she’d been trying to saddle a pat.

Jace leaned against the low fence. “Sorry to interrupt. I didn’t realize y’all were in the middle of pony play.”

“Now there’s an idea,” Grant said, sending Charli a lazy grin. “Maybe the best way to show you how to saddle a horse is to saddle you.”

She gave Grant the same look Evan gave Jace this morning when he’d asked her to stay home from work and rest. “Just try it, cowboy. See who ends up wearing a saddle and a tail.”

Grant chuckled and adjusted his hat. “Freckles, you know I’d let you ride me anywhere, anytime.”

EXCERPT:

Jace smoothed her skirt back down. And that’s when she got confirmation they weren’t staying here at all. There’d be no need for any extra layers.

She wet her lips. “Can I ask where we’re going?”

“You can, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to answer you,” Jace said.

“Smartass.”

Jace laughed. “Our captive isn’t very polite.”

“That’s okay,” Andre said, close enough for his breath to tickle her cheek. “I don’t mind her putting up a fight. We both know who’s going to win.”

She shivered at the threat. Because she knew exactly who always won when she let go of her reservations and put her trust in these two—she did.

But it still didn’t make it easy to let go of her natural need for control. “Two days, guys, seriously. I love you and you know I’m usually game for anything, but two days is all I can afford to take off. I have—“

A hand pressed over her lips again. “Enough, bella. You’re ours. Neither of us is asking permission to be penciled in on your schedule. You’re coming with us for as long as we require.”

Part of her still wanted to protest more about this not being a good time, that she had things to do, that maybe she wasn’t in the right headspace for this anyway. But the other part of her trusted that they had her best interests in mind. They probably were taking her for a night or two at The Ranch. Work could wait for a couple of days. And this would be way more fun.

Because another highly effective way to chase away melancholy feelings was a whole different kind of To Do list—one where she only had to follow instructions, one where she surrendered it all, where everything else fell away and she could settle into the sweet refuge of submission to these men.

There the worries couldn’t touch her.

At least for a little while.

She lowered her head. “When do we leave?”

“Now. Wyatt said the jet would be ready to go by noon.”

Her head snapped up. “Jet?”

Jace stepped around her and kissed her nose. “Welcome to your kidnapping, love. Hope you enjoy the flight.”

Whaddya think? Ready for more of these three? :-)
